The mission of Active Claremont is:
- To advocate communication and understanding between
Claremont citizens and their local government, - To promote public awareness of and interest in local issues, and
- To encourage a spirit of volunteerism in the Claremont community.
Active Claremont attempts to define issues which are of major interest to the citizens of our city. Some issues involve local taxation, city revenues, regional issues that may impact Claremont, controversial projects, and proposals and policies of the city government.
Active Claremont is not a political advocacy group and does not endorse candidates or ballot measures. The organization strives to present all sides of issues with the objective of providing unbiased and factual information to assist our members in developing informed opinions and positions of their own.
